Tea for Specialty Coffee

Despite expressed devotion to various value propositions—transparency, quality, biodiversity, to name a few—tea remains an afterthought for much of the Specialty coffee industry.   Engaging with tea on the level of Specialty coffee reveals an immense and diverse world of aroma and flavour alongside the rich narratives that produce them.   

Join us with our special guest Nicco of the amazing tea importer, Spirit tea, for an afternoon of tea education.  In this session, in addition to tasting through a range of tea styles and expressions, you will learn about different categories of tea, different tea producing regions, what makes high quality ethical tea production, relationship tea,  how to taste tea, and how the specialty tea industry relates to coffee.
